Our Story

Founded by two Vanderbilt graduates, IQTalent began as an idea which stemmed from the in-house model of recruiting.

Recognizing that contract, commission-based recruiters were developing a reputation for chasing commissions without adding real value to their clients, Chris Murdock decided to become a recruiting rebel and create a new standard. Starting in his garage in Silicon Valley, Murdock’s emphasis on quality relationships and service allowed him to build a business with a strong foundation.

IQTalent’s growth has accelerated exponentially by understanding that today’s economy ebbs and flows and that companies appreciate the on-demand, flexible business model. Murdock grew from his garage in San Jose to a team of consultants headquartered just five miles from his alma mater in Nashville, TN.

I never let go of Nashville after graduating from Vanderbilt in 1999.
